People have plenty of different physical and psychological feelings during their lifetime. Some of them have obvious functions to us, but some have implicit impacts that hard to be figured out by us.
Pains mean some bad things have taken place in our body and right decisions need to be taken; Fears mean we may have faced terrible things and measures need to be adopted to get rid of those disasters.
Apart from those feelings or emotions demonstrated earlier, some feelings’ functions seem useless or sometimes troublesome. For example anxiety, the feeling take place in some specific circumstances like the end of a deadline or the night before an examination. From the perspective of results, there’s always a strong probability of deep sorrow times we may encounter. The reason why this observation holds is that when we feel anxious we can not focus on things we must to do what’s worse our energy would be exhausted by that negative emotion, so things eventually go bad.
Confusion the same as anxiety seems useless and sometimes troublesome.
Like anxiety, confusion seems useless too, cause when trapped in the feeling confusion brought to us, we’ll soon lose our goals, the passion to do what we’re interested in. But as the saying goes “what is reasonable is real; that which is real is reasonable. “, those feelings and emotions must have some positive impacts on us to exist. Until then I started to find out those positive impacts.
What positive impacts confusion have on use are those signs or warnings behind the scenes. Those signs and warnings remind us there are somethings wrong with our objectives of a struggle or learning paths and need to be adjusted. At this point, we would rather say that the lost of goals lead to confusion than confusion results the lost of goals.
In my experiences, times that confusion is being away from me are those I have a strong and clear goal and eager to realize. So, what I have to do is to follow my goal and do those things can help me achieve my targets in a hurry. Now, the reason why I start to be confused is my old goal has been accomplished, but the new goals are far more away from to be achieved.
Another important factor results in confusion is the circumstance we are resided in. The reason is understandable: If the circumstance is unitary that we can focus on our interests we are hardly ever to be getting confused. But if the environment is full of chaos, we will be getting lost soon and be in confused.
To sum up, confusion itself is not terrifying at all if we can find out what has brought the confusion to us. Like pain, if we can target the root cause, and adopt right measures, that puzzle could be not the case. If goals and paths result in the confusion, the right decision we can make is to shorten the divided the huge goal into smaller ones or cut the long path to shorter ones. Having conquered all those smaller ones, the whole goal is also achieved. If it’s the circumstance issue then switch to a new one may the right choice.
